# Getting Started Checklist: Set Up Your LumiID Workspace

> Follow this step-by-step checklist to create your workspace, invite your team, add content, and publish your first LumiID project.

New to LumiID? This checklist walks you through everything you need to do to go from a blank account to a live, published site. Follow the steps in order and you'll have your workspace set up, your team on board, and your first project published in no time.

**1. Create your workspace**

Your workspace is your home base in LumiID. Give it your company or team name — you can always change this later. Everything else you create will live inside this workspace.

**2. Invite your team**

Head to **Settings → Members** and invite your colleagues by email. Assign each person a role based on what they need to do: editors can create and edit content, reviewers can comment, and admins can manage settings.

**3. Create your first project**

Click **New project** from your workspace dashboard. Choose a template to get a head start, or start from scratch and build it your way.

**4. Add your content**

Start writing pages directly in LumiID, or import existing content from Markdown files, a URL, or a supported third-party platform.

**5. Customise your site**

Add your logo, set your brand colours, and configure your navigation under **Settings → Appearance**. This is how you make your site feel like yours.

**6. Publish**

When you're ready, hit **Publish**. Your site will be live at your platform subdomain. If you'd prefer to use your own domain — like `docs.yourcompany.com` — see [Set Up a Custom Domain](https://docs.lumiid.com/help/custom-domain.md).

Done all of the above? You're all set. Check out the rest of the help centre if you run into anything, or use the **Ask** button in the dashboard to chat with the assistant.
